Car Scratch Remover – What is the Difference Between Rubbing Compound and Polish?

[ad_1]

Car Scratch Remover Discover How To Solve All Of Your Scratch Remover Problems Once And For All.

Have you wondered what the difference between what is referred to a rubbing compound verses a polish? A rubbing compound is a somewhat dated term for a product that contains very aggressive ingredients that if not used correctly can sometime do more damage to your paint than you started out with. This is not a product that professionals in paint refinishing typically use every day.

Professional products with a an aggressive abrasive content are designed for removing heavy 1200 grit scratches fast, usually with a rotary machine and a wool bonnet, something that only the most seasoned professionals know how to use with precision. They also require several more steps with different products to achieve a restored finish.

In modern terms an aggressive product used to renew badly oxidized paint or for what is known in the detail world as a paint correction would be referred to as a cutting compound. It typically is designed for machine application and is serious business. It is just the first step in multiple steps to achieve a restored finish on a paint finish in very poor condition. This type of process is not necessary on most cars where the paint is in good condition and there are only isolated scratches in the clear coat.

In the last 5-10 years car scratch remover technology has come a long way and now there are advanced polishes that are not only gentle on paint but deliver extraordinary results in removing various types of scratches from isolated scratches to swirls sometime called spider swirls. They are so efficient that they can be used by hand or by machine with great results from either with less work than in the good old days. The truly professional advance polishes utilize something called nano technology. Without getting into the nitty gritty, pun intended, they progressively breakdown as they are applied and the action removes the deeper scratches initially and then progressively begins to fine polish the initial work. They are absolutely amazing to use!

The new generation of high end professional polishes intended for car scratch remover is generally only available through professional sources. They tend to be expensive and only sold in large volumes to the trade. On the other hand they are very easy to use and very efficient.

If you are in search of a product to remove clear coat scratches or enhance a touch up paint repair you have done look for a product or system that has professional formulas and accessories designed for consumer use. The system should come with video tutorials and an easy to follow quick start guide.

Most of all any home car scratch remover system should offer great product support and a money back guarantee. Click the link below to get a free report on how to solve all of your car scratch removal problems once and for all.

When and How to Remove 3M Carbon Fiber

[ad_1]

When you first install 3M carbon fiber, you may not think about ever removing it but eventually you may want to try a new pattern or the vinyl may become damaged making it necessary to repair. 3M Di-noc vinyl is guaranteed for ten years when it’s used on areas inside but for vehicles and other items used outside, the guarantee is for five years.

3M carbon fiber has a grooved adhesive design that, when applied properly, helps to remove air bubbles for a professional look but it also reduces the risk of the vinyl lifting and peeling after installation. This design allows the vinyl to cling tightly to the surface area but you can still remove it without a lot of hassles when the need arises.

Removing the carbon fiber is just as important as installing it because you don’t want to cause any damage to the surface area. When the time comes to remove the vinyl, there are certain techniques that can make the process go smoothly without damaging the surface underneath.

How to Remove the 3M Carbon Fiber Vinyl

When removing carbon fiber vinyl you must work carefully to prevent damaging the vehicle or object underneath the vinyl. When working with large areas, it’s easier to cut the vinyl before trying to remove it. This will make the material easier to work with and peel off. Use a sharp razor knife to cut into the vinyl but do not put a lot of pressure on the knife. You only need to crease the vinyl making a shallow cut. If you press too hard, it will go through the vinyl and damage the object underneath.

Using heat to warm the surface of the area will also make it easier to peel off the vinyl. You can do this by using a heat gun or a hair dryer but you don’t want to overheat the area. The idea is to warm up the 3M Di-noc carbon fiber so it will be more flexible and to loosen up the adhesive so it will peel without ripping and tearing. If you overheat it, this will make it harder to work with because it will be too soft and won’t peel off as easily.

Clean the Area

Once you have removed all of the 3M carbon fiber vinyl, you’ll need to clean any adhesive residue off the surface. 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner is a product designed especially for cleaning this type of adhesive and it won’t damage the paint when cleaning. After you have removed all of the adhesive, wash the area with a mild soap and water or wipe down the area with a damp cloth if washing is not an option.

If you plan to reapply the vinyl, give the area time to dry completely before reapplying. 3M carbon fiber provides you with many ways to make your vehicle and other items stand out and show off your unique personality. Since you can easily remove and reapply the vinyl whenever you want to, it’s a practical and economic way to express your individuality.

Steppin Back in Time at The Red Oak Fillin Station – Things to Do In Hot Springs, AR

[ad_1]

This is for those travelers who love to explore and they do so in an effort to engage in experiences that are as varied and unique as the many places they visit.

They seek activities that are meaningful and memorable.

When you travel to Hot Springs, Arkansas there are many Things to Do that fulfill this quest to have unique travel experiences. It is like stepping back in time when you find that special little establishment that can only be defined as a “gem”.

The owner, Ron Lusby says it all started when he had to drive over 20 miles just to buy a pack of cigarettes. Yes, Ron, left the house one evening to go pick up a pack of cigarettes and after driving all over he soon realized that there were no businesses out on Carpenter Dam Road in Hot Springs, Arkansas where one could buy the basics; milk, bread and/or cigarettes. For many this sounds like a “huge tale” in itself. Having to explain an extended absence.

An hour and a half later when he came home he had a “Plan”. This plan would require a complete upheaval in his family’s life. For it would entail he and his wife selling their other convenience stores in Little Rock and relocating to Hot Springs. After his wife Regina considered the proposal she simply stated “that was the most expensive pack of cigarettes you have ever bought”.

However, with her support a Dream was realized and the Red Oak Fillin Station was born.

When you pull in to the gravel parking lot you are first met with a vintage truck that sits directly in front of the entrance. Your gaze then drifts to the old fashioned log cabin style structure that is home to the Red Oak Fillin Station. The building is only 3 years old but it has the appearance of a much older structure. Thais was intentional in that Ron and Regina wanted the feeling of history and nostalgic but with all new amenities. You will appreciate that when you visit the state of the art restroom facilities. No roughing it here.

Today, both Ron and Regina are on hand to meet their guests who come in for a homemade hamburger, tank of gas, minnows for bait and the occasional “Fishing License” that is required to fish at nearby Lake Hamilton or Lake Catherine. Homemade desserts are also a local favorite. Fresh pies and cakes are made daily.

This unique, out of the way corner establishment works hard to provide a folksy, down home experience for all who visit. There are Friday and Saturday night specials. On Friday nights you can check in for all you can eat fried catfish and on Saturday evenings starting the 2nd weekend of September diners will be able to feast on Pan Fried Chicken, homemade biscuits all served family style in the large cast iron skillets; a southern favorite.

This is a family run, family supported operation and their teenage son is a “Professional Fisherman” as is Regina’s brother so they also cater to the fisherman. There is a large selection of fishing lures and supplies for the avid angler and leaving nothing to chance and continuing the theme throughout the store, even the Ice Machine is covered in a “Camo Design”.

After you fill your tummy, visit with other diners, buy supplies, and chat with Ron you can relax on the front porch in large rocking chairs. Nothing is left to chance at the Red Oak Fillin Station. It carries everything and YES, they do sell cigarettes.

Factors That Affect Choice Of Electrical Wires

[ad_1]

Electrical wiring is used in practically all kinds of settings with all kinds of requirements. The truth is that a wire that is perfect for one application may not be the best choice for another application. But because they are in a wide range, you will always be in a position to select the best for the wiring project you have and any specific requirements there could be. Here are some of the factors that affect your selection.

Labeling – If you are keen enough, you will find that electrical wires have letters on them. These usually represent insulation types. For instance one labeled H means that it is heat resistant whereas one labeled HH means that is highly heat resistant. T could indicate thermoplastic insulation, N for nylon coating that is resistant to gas and oil damage and W could indicate that the wire is suitable for wet conditions. They could come with multiple letters to indicate the different properties. If you are not too sure about the kind you are about to buy, get professional help or make enquiries and go through reviews to find out the specifications.

Wattage load, ampacity and gauge – They are very important considerations to help you get the correct wire for the correct application. Wattage load indicates how much wattage it can accommodate, ampacity stands for the amount of electricity that can flow through the wire and the gauge is simply the size of the wire. These aspects are mentioned on appliances, making it easier for you to know which wires to go for. You can of course get assistance from an electrical technician if you are not too sure about the interpretations to help you find the most suitable one.

Size – Every application will come with a certain size that is suitable for installation. Wire gauge is what determines the size with the most common wires being sizes 10, 12 and 14; the higher the number the smaller the wire size. The size of your wire is important because it can affect the amount of power it can accommodate.

Color codes – When it comes to electrical wires, different colors serve different purposes. Black ones are commonly used for outlets and switches whereas red wires may be ideal for switch legs. Bare copper and green wires are for grounding whereas whites are always neutral. Some are best for all kinds of internal wiring, especially in appliances; your application should help you choose the correct color code.

Wire type – Electrical wires come in different types including triplex, panel feed, main feeder, single strand and nonmetallic sheathed wires. Your application again will determine which wire type is most suitable. When buying your wires, you can always get a professional help you with the selection and probably even with the installation of whatever you are working on. Wrong wire use could have serious consequences and they are what you should be trying to avoid.

The Bottled Water Industry And Its Environmental Impacts

[ad_1]

The bottled water industry is a rapidly expanding business- to illustrate, consumers spend $100 billion collectively on this product each year. Most buyers perceive bottled water as being more clean and better than regular tap water, and it is thought to have a positive health impact. But what about its environmental impacts?

Unfortunately, the industry is generally proclaimed as having a negative environmental impact. An excess of energy and resources are used in the process of manufacturing and transporting the bottles, and even worse is its generation of solid waste- the used plastic bottles.

According to the calculations of the Pacific Institute, the bottled water industry process for making the plastic bottles for those used up in the US utilizes as much as 17 million barrels of oil each year, which is enough to power 100,000 for 1 year.

Aside from the making of these bottles, additional resources are used to transport the products. A number of brands are imported and therefore have to be transferred through large distances via ship, rail transit, or truck. So much energy and resources are employed just for the process of transporting a product from where it was manufactured, to stores, and finally to the consumer. For example and as described at best-bottled-water.com, 250g of CO2 is produced for each bottle of Fiji Water shipped to the USA-this is composed of 93g to make the water bottle in China, 46 for moving the bottle to Fiji where it is filled with water, and 153g for transporting the bottle to the USA.

And although the plastic bottles are made up of material that are generally recyclable, 80% of the bottled water bottles consumed in the USA just end up in landfills. Recycling rates are even lower worldwide, with 90% of the bottles not being recycled.

Unlike tap water, the manufacturing and transportation of the product uses up large amounts of oil, fossil fuels, and other resources. It also adds waste to landfills. Furthermore, what consumers need to know is that city tap water undergoes rigorous testing and has purification standards. Tap water testing is actually done more frequently than that for some commercial water brands.

Some entities, like a water wholesaler in the Santa Clara County of Northern California, are even urging people to drink tap water to reduce the negative environmental impact and reserve funds and resources. Now that you know more about the bottled water industry and its economical costs, will you still buy the product?

Are You Paying Too Little for a Home Inspection?

[ad_1]

Choosing a home inspection company based upon the fee is the worst way to choose who will help you finalize your decision on buying a home. Home inspection is no longer some “Bubba” working solo out of his truck. It is a serious business and you need to choose a home inspection company wisely. A home inspector offering a low fee is a red flag to look into.

People who own and operate a home inspection company as a serious business offer many benefits and protections that less serious inspectors can offer.

Error and Omissions (E&O) insurance is a large expense for companies offering this. E&O is the insurance that comes into play if something expensive was missed during the home inspection and it needs repaired, such as a major foundation issue.

Other benefits and protections that can be offered for 90 days are: warranty on the mechanics such as furnace, etc, sewer line warranty, discovered mold, recall research on major appliances, and a termite protection plan. One of the newer protections for home buyers provided by top level home inspection companies is a 5 year roof leak protection plan.

These benefits and protections for home buyers do have costs that naturally are passed on in the cost of business. If a home inspector offers a fee that is low there is a very good chance that they do not provide E&O insurance or any of the other protections. Other protections that can be offered to a home buyer are: 90 day warranty, sewer line warranty, roof leak warranty, a radon plan, discount on a second inspection if a person does not buy the first place, a 200% money back guaranty, termite plan, check appliances for recalls, mold warranty, same day report delivery, pictures in the report for easy reading and provide ongoing consultation and home ownership materials for you.

Checking the company for the quality and quantity of reviews they have on places such as Listen360, Google and Yelp is also very valuable information. Having a large number of reviews that are consistently providing good to great comments is far more telling than the one positive or perhaps even the one negative.

Deciding who to use is an important decision and it should not be based upon finding the cheapest. Buying a home is not a cheap event. It is not the time to short change yourself and add risk to yourself by using a company that does not offer you the protections you and your family need. Be careful who you use and do not use the cheapest because they are cheap for reasons.

How DOT Drug Testing Is Made Simple

[ad_1]

When you have truck or bus drivers out on the road, DOT drug testing is vital. There are ways to simplify the drug testing process so you don’t have to spend a fortune – or a significant amount of time managing everything. This will allow you to remain DOT compliant while ensuring your employees are safe out on the roads.

Random Drug Testing

You may have a lot of different drivers out on the road. If everyone knows that you drug test on the 10th of every month, they will know how to take action in order to pass. This means that the testing is not going to be efficient, and may even be against DOT compliancy. The best solution is to random drug test, and this can be done by a third-party. It simplifies everything for you, and keeps your drivers guessing at the same time.

Automated Systems

Software can be your best friend with drug testing. Especially when you want to make it random, you need to know who you are testing every month or quarter. Additionally, the results need to be recorded within driver qualification files, otherwise it will be hard to maintain what’s going on with your employees. If something happens with an employee, such as an accident or a car crash, you want to be able to pull up a drug test and see when the last time they were tested and what the results were.

Verified by MROs

MROs or medical review officers will do a lot of the work for you. This takes the responsibilities out of your hands and puts them into the hands of someone else – someone who has the know-how to deal with DOT drug testing. It makes it easier for you to get the work done, and you will have time to do various other things within your operations. It is federal law under DOT to use an MRO.

Monthly and Annual Reporting

Whether you are new to the game or have been doing it for years, you have already discovered that there is a lot of paperwork that needs to be submitted to the DOT. This includes mileage records, time records, and more. The drug testing has to be done as well, and so it’s one more thing to add to your list of things to do. If you fail to submit a report on time, it can lead to fines – and these can and should be avoided at all times. The reporting doesn’t have to be a time-consuming task. You can set reminders as to when reports are due, and MROs can submit the reports on your behalf in many instances. The reality is that testing is only as hard as you make it out to be. You can work with the DOT consortium, medical review officers, and more to assist you. Plus, these third-party administrators will ensure that everything is verified so you don’t have to question the results. You work too hard to add more to your plate. If you want simple DOT drug testing, all you have to do is to ask for it.

Car Paint Scratches – Seven Things You May Be Doing to Cause Damage to Your Car Paint Finish

[ad_1]

What you need to know about how to avoid the most common type of car scratch (swirl and spider). This article covers what to avoid and the single easiest way protect your car paint from the most common type of scratches that degrade the overall look of your paint finish. If you decide to remove micro swirl scratches yourself look for a car scratch remover designed to give professional results at home with a guarantee and good product support.

You may have noticed numerous ultra fine scratches known as a swirl or spider that is most noticeable on the hood, trunk and roof of cars. They usually stand out on a sunny day when you look straight down at them. If you really want a shock pull your car in a garage under direct overhead fluorescent lighting and brace yourself for car paint scratches galore. The majority of swirls or spider scratches can be traced to a poorly maintained car finish that is not regularly waxed or sealed. The 7 innocent things you may be subjecting your car to that can cause a micro swirl car scratch.

– Automatic drive through car washes are hard on paint.

– Automatic car wash workers with poor hand drying technique and substandard towels.

– Abrasive or dirty at home or self serve “brush wands” the type that connects to a hose.

– Using dish washing soap when washing your car at home.

– Wiping or rubbing dust or grit off a dry paint with a dry towel, rag or paper towel.

– Not using a chamois or premium micro fiber towel to dry a car paint finish after washing.

– Improper at home hand car washing technique – a subject all by itself.

NOTE: Anything from under the kitchen sink should never be used on your car because household cleaning products are designed to remove grease etc and are not properly pH balanced for automobile paint therefore over time they have dire effects on not only the paint but rubber and plastic as well. A high quality car washing shampoo is designed to gently lift dirt from car paint and leave behind luster enhancers that help protect the paint.

Pro trick to reduce the incidence of micro swirls after hand washing a car. Dry hoods and trunks front to back in one motion, not circles. Only use a chamois or micro fiber towels to dry car paint. Wipe the side of your car, side to side in a horizontal motion, not circles. The reason for this is any micro scratches you may induce will not reflect light as much as circular micro scratches will. Additionally, a professional quality car scratch remover designed for home use can remove fine micro spider scratches with great results.

The single most important thing you can do to protect your car from micro spider swirls is to use a quality sealant or wax at a minimum of twice a year . Preferably a quality car sealant which bonds to the paint which will last longer and stands up to the environment much better than ordinary car wax. Properly sealed paint will resist all sorts of scratches because the paint is protected with a slippery barrier.

A neglected paint finish allows dust, grit and substandard washing accessories to dig into the paint thus causing micro swirl automobile scratches. To prove my point about a properly protected car finish and scratches I took a plastic fork and ran it hard across the hood of my black BMW with barely any visible damage. Next I did the same to my friend’s car hood … he NEVER waxes or uses a sealant on his car… and it left a HUGE scratch… which I of course then had to remove since he went through the roof.

The point is, using a high quality auto paint sealant makes your car so slippery that you can’t even make a plastic fork bite in to cause car paint scratches. Simply using a high quality sealant on your car finish at least twice a year goes a long way to protecting your vehicle paint from typical micro swirl car scratches.

Automobile Business Plan – Four Steps to Success

[ad_1]

Like other business plans, the contents of an automobile dealership business plan cover four primary steps towards success. These steps are “opportunity”, “capacity”, “activities”, and “results”.

Opportunity

The industry, customer, and competitive analysis in your business plan proves the opportunity. This should identify that customers in your local market are in need of a dealer of the type you’ve chosen to be because competitors are not fully serving their needs, or because their demographics are changing (more population, richer, poorer, more families, etc.) The opportunity could also be that a certain combination of services by your dealership could improve on what competitors are currently doing. The overall industry situation should look ahead to how the car sales market will be doing six months, one year, or more in the future, when the dealership will actually be open.

Capacity

The experience of the management team, your license as a car dealer, and the financial resources the partners can bring to the table cover the capacity of the entrepreneur to jump on this opportunity. Funders reading the business plan expect that there will also be an element of cash missing from the entrepreneur’s capacity at the moment. Otherwise, they would not be reading the plan in the first place.

Activities

Marketing and operations plans cover the activities the company will engage in to bring in car buyers (and car sellers if you are a used car dealer as well), and run the business as efficiently as possible. As a small car dealer, consider how you can make up for this lack of scale, and the cost savings that come with it for dealer chains, through creativity and hard work.

Results

Finally, the projections of business success and financial section of the plan show the results that you and investors should expect. If results take into account the full costs of the methods you’ve described, and include adequate compensation for staff and key team players, readers will be less likely to question elements on the cost side. If your revenue projections are based on reasonable, researched assumptions about the car buying behavior of your local market, then readers will be more likely to accept this side of the projections as well.
