The Evolution of Transportation

[ad_1]

People and things have always had the need to move or be moved from one place to another. People have always looked for more comfortable or quicker ways to travel. Transportation is a way people and things move from one place to another. Different environments require different methods of transportation.

People have invented machines, called vehicles or crafts, to travel. Some vehicles travel on the ground, like a train. Some vehicles travel on top of the water, like a jet ski. Some even help people to travel under the water, like a submarine. People use other types of crafts to travel in the air. A hot air balloon is an interesting way to travel through the sky.

Crafts such as rockets can help people to travel into space. Over the centuries, inventors designed machines or improved ways of traveling to move people faster and faster.

Ships and Boats

One of the earliest ways to transport people and things was by traveling in the water. Boats are small crafts generally used for a special purpose like fishing. Ships are larger crafts that might use sails or an engine to propel them through the water. They may travel on rivers, lakes, or oceans.

Boats With Paddles

People use flat wooden boards called paddles to row small boats. An oar is another name for a paddle. A raft is a simple boat with a flat bottom. We can make a raft using tree trunks or logs. Sometimes, flat pieces of wood called planks are bound together to make a raft. Some rafts are made of rubber or a plastic called vinyl. These rafts are often inflatable.

Early Native Americans made canoes out of tree trunks. They hollowed out the trunk and used a paddle to move from place to place. Today, an artificial substance, made by man, called fiberglass is a popular material for building a canoe.

A kayak is a sleeker version of a canoe with one or two small holes. The holes are where people sit. A rider may attach a watertight skin or enclosure to prevent water from getting in the boat. The boat can turn all the way over without sinking. Some people compete in kayak races. The Olympics have had a kayak event since 1936.

Boats With Sails or Motors

Other boats and ships use different types of power. A sailboat uses pieces of canvas or other fabrics called sails, which are filled by the wind fills and pushes the boat forward.

Ancient Egyptians used sailboats to move the stones for the Great Pyramids from Aswan to Giza. Pilgrims traveled from England on a large sailboat called the Mayflower to reach America in 1620.

A motorboat uses an electric motor and propellers. Propellers are turning metal blades that help the vessel to move through the water. A speedboat is a small, but very fast motorboat. Speedboats pull water skiers, help the Coast Guard or marine patrol on rescue missions, or might even compete in a race.

Larger Boats and Ships

Most large ships are made of metals like iron or steel. They use giant propellers powered by engines to move through the water. A steamboat is a large boat with paddles. A steam-powered engine turns the paddles to move the boat.

The biggest ships are tankers and aircraft carriers. Oil tankers can carry millions of barrels of oil inside huge cargo areas. Designers built tankers to travel long distances and other than oil, they may transport water, chemicals, or liquefied natural gas.

Aircraft carriers are long, flat warships designed to act as a floating airbase. Planes take off and land on the runways on the top of the ship.

A submarine is a metal ship that can travel underwater. A submarine can be small enough to carry one or two people and remain underwater for a few hours. They can also be very large, have a crew of over eighty people and remain underwater for a few months.

Trains

A train is a vehicle that runs on tracks, or rails. Passenger trains may have many compartments for people to travel from one place to another. Freight trains carry cargo, or things. Different cars transport different types of items.

Refrigerator cars transport food. Container cars need a crane to lift cargo in or out of the car. Tanker cars transport different types of liquids.

Light Rail

People sometimes use the term light rail to talk about trains that run on city streets. A trolley, also called a streetcar, is one type of light rail transportation. The first streetcars were pulled by horses or even people. Modern streetcars usually get their power from electricity. Electricity makes things run.

A subway is a light rail system of cars. A subway runs on the street and in underground tunnels. Many large cities have a network of subway tunnels.

Big Trains

Big trains have wheels that run on railroad tracks. They travel long distances between cities and towns. The first car on a train is the locomotive. The locomotive powers the train. The first trains used steams engines. Today, most trains get power from using gasoline or electricity. High-speed rail trains are electric trains that run faster than a regular train, sometimes called a bullet train. These high speed rail systems also transport people in Germany, Korea, and Spain. The first countries to build and use the bullet train are the countries of France and Japan.

The monorail is another type of train. Most monorail systems run on a single rail. Some monorails are suspended. The train cars actually hang from the track.

Motor Vehicles

People drive and are passengers in motor vehicles in most places of the world. Motor vehicles have wheels and a motor. They can be driven on many different land surfaces. Cars, buses, and trucks allow people and things to travel to certain places. They can travel where boats and trains cannot go.

Cars

Cars are vehicles used by people to get from one place to another. Combustion engines are often the power source for cars. This type of engine burns gasoline or diesel fuel to run. Some people are concerned that combustion engines are contributing to pollution in the air.

Inventors are developing other types of power systems to make cars run. Electric cars have electric motors that run on batteries. Some cars use hydrogen to provide power. A hybrid car uses a combustion engine and battery power to make the car work.

Cars vary in their size. A limousine is a long car, which has space for many passengers and has a chauffeur to drive the vehicle. A micro-car, also called a bubble car, is very popular in countries outside of the United States. Auto makers designed the microcar to use less gas. It is also economical because a small amount of material is necessary to build the car.

Some people like to drive a sports car. The fastest cars are race cars. Some cars have special features, like convertible, which have a fabric or hard top that folds back.

Buses

Buses are bigger than cars. A bus has a long body with several rows of seats or benches for passengers. Buses usually operate on a schedule. A passenger bus can carry people long distances. They travel between different cities and towns. A tour bus carries tourists or people on vacation. Some people charter, or rent, a bus for special purposes.

Trucks

Vehicle engineers designed trucks to carry materials of all kinds. Pickup trucks are a bit bigger than cars. They have a flat bed behind the passenger compartment. They can carry many things in the flat bed. Large trucks transport different kinds of heavier materials or equipment. They carry things to places where trains and boats cannot travel. An 18-wheeler is a very big truck. It has 18 separate wheels.

Aircraft

Hot Air Balloons, Blimps and Dirigibles

Aircraft are vehicles or machines that let people travel through the air. The first type of air transportation was the hot air balloon. It is the oldest successful human carrying technology for flight. It floats using a large bag of silk or nylon filled with heated air. People travel in a wicker basket called a gondola, that hangs underneath.

A blimp or dirigible is like a balloon. The gas helium fills up the balloon to help it float. It has a motor to push it forward. This type of craft was very popular before 1940.

As technology for airplanes improved, people stopped using blimps to travel. Today, advertisers use blimps to market their products. Some companies offer sightseeing tours in a blimp.

Airplanes, Gliders, Helicopters

An airplane is an aircraft that flies using wings and an engine. The Wright brothers receive credit for the invention of the first airplane in 1903. Airplanes can be small and carry only one or two people. Commercial airplanes can be large and carry many passengers a long distance in a short amount of time. A motor makes the propellers turn. Most larger airplanes have jet engines. This type of engine has many turning blades inside. They move air much faster than ordinary propellers.

Jet airplanes use turbines to make them move faster. The military uses supersonic aircraft, such as fighters or bombers, to move quickly with a great amount of power. A fighter jet is a small military airplane that can go very fast. The Concorde is one of the only supersonic planes used as a commercial airplane. It carried passengers from Europe to America in less than half the time it took for a regular airplane to fly the same distance. The Concorde was very expensive to fly. Due to rising costs, the Concorde was retired from use. The last Concorde flight was on October 24, 2003.

A helicopter is an aircraft with a large propeller on top. It can rise into the air, or take off, straight up. A helicopter can take off without using a runway.

A glider has a similar shape to an airplane. It uses only the wind for power. The military may use gliders to deliver troops. Gliders are very quiet because they don’t have an engine. Some people participate in glider competitions.

Rockets

A rocket is a vehicle that travels into the air at a very high speed. It burns fuel to make thrust. Thrust pushes, or propels, the rocket upward. A rocket engine ejects the thrust out of the bottom of the rocket. A lot of energy is required to propel a rocket into space. Energy is necessary to make things happen. Astronauts and cosmonauts are people who travel into space using rockets. Rockets also transport the satellites into their destination orbit. Satellites study the Earth and other objects in the universe.

Rocket Design and Travel

Multiple sections or stages make up the design of most rockets. Each stage contains its own fuel supply and rocket engine.

When its fuel is used up, a rocket is released. This lightens the weight of the rocket. It allows it to travel faster. A rocket needs to travel at least 17,700 miles per hour, (28,500 kilometers) to make it out of the atmosphere into space, which is the so-called “escape velocity”. The part of the rocket that actually reaches space is often called a spacecraft.

Booster rockets

Some rockets get extra thrust from booster rockets. The scientists usually attach the boosters to the side of the main rocket. The space shuttle is both a rocket and an airplane. It releases two booster rockets. As the rocket uses up its fuel, it will also release an external fuel tank. The space shuttle lands like an airplane when it returns to Earth.

Some key dates in the Transportation development timeline:

  • 1662 – Blaise Pascal invented a horse drawn public bus.
  • 1783 – Joseph Montgolfier and Étienne Montgolfier launched the first hot air balloons.
  • 1814 – George Stephenson built the first practical steam powered railroad locomotive.
  • 1900 – Ferdinand von Zeppelin built the first successful airship.

5 Ways to Poison, Maim, and Kill Yourself

[ad_1]

We are so focused on fossil fuel emissions that are poisoning and killing us, that we are blind to the contaminants in our house. There are poisons we are using every day and we don’t even realize they are have invaded our homes. This is an occasion when myopia is a virtue. You and I have been taken for suckers for too long. These are the sources that are poisoning, maiming and killing you.

Take Your Medicines

Pharmaceutical drugs are Poisons although we call them medicines. You and I bought into the story of these instant cure medicines because we became lazy and wanted instant gratification for our maladies, little realizing that the medicines were supposed to be a temporary relief. We forgot that for long term wellness, we had to change our ways.

We forgot that all illnesses are due to our wanton carelessness or carefree lifestyle. Most of us still have wool pulled over our eyes and can’t see through the yarn spun by Big Pharma. If Big Pharma was as successful as they claim, why haven’t their truck loads of heart disease drugs stopped the still accelerating heart disease rates worldwide?

Why do their painkiller drugs kill people? Heard of the rotavirus vaccine causing babies intestines to tangle up and die? How do you maim yourself with drugs? The erection producing drug causes certain heart disease patients to actually get a heart attack. And then there is a anti-diabetes drug causing develop heart disease? And there are tomes more…

Drink Milk

Fortified milk brands are sprouting all over the dairy product aisles, like seeds sprouting after a shower.

Why do we need to fortify milk? When I was young I was told that milk was the perfect food. How do you fortify a perfect food? What is missing that needs to be replenished?

Big Dairy is pumping up food that’s dead. Nutrients have been destroyed while being heated and pasteurized in their factories. Make no mistake, fortified milk doesn’t fortify you. It merely conceals the dead food the chemicals are in.

You can test this yourself. Buy a carton of fortified or any packaged milk and take it to a farm. Take a swig from the milk that comes directly from the udder of the cow and from your carton of milk. You will instantly taste the difference.

Not only does milk from Big Dairy taste flat, the fortifying chemicals are poisoning you slowly. We have no idea what the fancy named fortifying chemicals do in the long term, because unlike the drug industry, the dairy products don’t have any clinical trials to pass.

Eat Your Vegetables and Fruits

Produce from the farms of huge agriculture companies are devoid of minerals that vegetables and fruits are supposed to transfer to us. Modern agricultural methods have depleted the soil. The plow, artificial pesticides and artificial manure have bleached our produce. Discovery of agriculture spelled our doom and caused the explosion of modern day diseases. Our prehistoric ancestors didn’t suffer from our maiming and killer diseases. Every non-infectious disease (and some infectious ones like salmonella, typhoid, hepatitis A and traveler’s diarrhea) is caused by our suicidal eating habits.

You can also taste the difference between produce from big farms versus the organic products.

Always buy packaged foodstuff

Have you noticed that many packaged foods are also fortified? It’s the same reasons as for Big Dairy. Breakfast cereals proclaim their products pack a nutrient-packed punch, when they are only able to deliver a weak stir. Many of them don’t even resemble anything we recognize as foodstuff. Some of them look like the droppings of prehistoric reptiles. And we feed our children this garbage!

Use chemical laced personal care items

Some years back lipsticks were laden with lead and the discovery of the deadly effects of lead, lead to their disuse. Now everyone thinks that lead was the only poison used in the personal care industry. There are many more and they have exotic names that you need a degree in Latin to pronounce.

For example, many shampoos and skin care products have SLF (sodium lauryl sulphate) that damages your immune system. There are many more additives in personal care products whose dangers we still are in the dark about.

Do you feel like a slug living in a cess pool? If you follow my advise here you can still gain radiant health:

– switch as many products to natural alternatives as fast as you can

– detoxify yourself of the accumulated poisons

– avoid processed foods as much as possible and eat the right ones

– do natural exercises

You can achieve breakthrough health if you are disciplined and committed to it.

Can We Build a Robotic Oil Change System?

[ad_1]

The other day, I was talking with an acquaintance. He is working on his Management in Engineering Degree amongst other things. After talking with him briefly about the mobile oil change business, it occurred to me that maybe someone needs to create an Oil Change Robot system to change oil in car fleets such as rent-a-cars, truck fleets, GSA car lots, and US Military vehicles to save money on training, logistical costs, and Army, Navy, Marine, and Air Force mechanics. Okay so, let’s talk, I mean is this even possible?

Why sure it is, in fact one oil company has already designed a robotic re-fueling system, so you can just pull up to the pump, and the system opens the little door, unscrews the gas cap, aligns it’s arm, puts in the nozzle and then pumps. When completed, it removes the nozzle, screws back on the gas cap, and gently closes the door, and you are done. Today, you would just hold up your iPhone and wave it over the payment system, and you are paid, fueled, and basically good to go right? Sure, why not.

Indeed, out think tank was discussing this the other day, as such a system could be used to refuel robotic drones, meaning no people would be needed for the flight-line in some foreign country to refuel, or tie down the aircraft, robotic systems would do all the work. Too far-fetched you say, baloney, even Google has a self-driving robotic car now. Yes, it did get into an accident, but guess what? It was the other cars fault – the one driven by a human!

You may think this is silly for a mobile oil change rig, but I think it’s beautiful and having been in the car washing business, I can tell you that it’s mostly robotic using robotic sensors such as sonar, electronic eyes, optical flow sensors, and infrared systems in a few cases. In the case of a fleet of vehicles, it’s simple, all the vehicles are unlocked, and everything is in the same place, the oil change robot can just drive along and do the vehicles without human labor, no more worries about health-care costs, pensions, workmen’s comp, training, scheduling, human resources, work place injuries, strikes, or shortages of qualified technicians you see?

The original systems might be costly at first, but the number of companies, agencies, militaries, and fleet owners that would buy them could generate significant advantages in economies of scale to mass produce these systems. So, why not I ask? Please consider all this.

Moving Companies – Alternatives And Financing

[ad_1]

Thus, choosing your moving company is something that can provide a great relief or further problems.

Resorting to a moving company is not the only action you can take. It all depends on the amount of things you have and the distance that separates one property from the other. You may be able to move most of your things by yourself or maybe all with the aid of some friends or family members. But take into consideration the fact that some furniture and appliances are fragile and should better be handled by professionals.

Costs And Alternatives

Hiring a moving company can be expensive. If you have to move especially delicate things like a piano for example, you may even have to hire the services of exclusive moving companies that will charge significantly higher amounts. You can shop around and compare prices but bear in mind that sometimes what is too cheap turns out expensive and the company will be transporting all your belongings which you surely consider valuable in more than one sense.

As explained above, the cost of hiring a moving company will vary according to the amount of things that you need to transport from one property to the other but mainly on the distance that separates both properties. If the type of things you need to move would allow you to transport them yourself provided that you had the transport means, hiring a moving company may not be your only possible solution.

It is also possible to rent a truck or a van where you can (with the aid of friends or relatives) carefully load all your belongings and transport them from your current residence to your new home. Bear in mind though, that you’ll need to fasten and secure everything so nothing gets damaged during the carrying. Using a proper cushion wrapping to reduce the risk of damage is an excellent idea.

Financing: The Simple Solution

Though moving companies can be expensive, you may decide that they are the best choice for you. If that’s the case, the good news is that you can obtain finance to move your belongings. Some moving companies will agree to provide several installments to finance the fees. Even if that’s not the case, you can still resort to other forms of financing in order to obtain the funds to pay the fees altogether.

You have mainly two alternatives: you can pay with credit card and use the ability to finance the balance on your credit card so you can pay as much as possible every month. Or (and this is my preferred solution), take a personal unsecured loan to pay for the whole fees and then repay the loan in the small resulting installments. This last alternative is probably the cheapest one because the interest rates on personal loans are considerably lower than the ones charged by credit card financing.

Most Popular Uses for Bumper Stickers

[ad_1]

Bumper stickers are typically found on the front or back end of a car, but they can also turn up in other places. They are usually put on to express a message, some can be funny, or back up an important cause, while others might have religious messages. On the other hand, with an election year coming up there are many of them endorsing various political candidates.

In other countries a bumper sticker is attached to a car that travels from one country to another. Sometimes companies that employ fleets of vehicles may put a bumper sticker on the truck or van with their number on it, and something that identifies the vehicle. Something like this led to the widely popular “How’s My Driving”, style of humorous bumper sticker that can be found in millions of places.

Bumper stickers are adhesive stickers attached to a special backing that allows it to be peeled off and then attached to something else. Once the sticker is removed from this backing it should be used, the sticky side of the bumper sticker will not stay that way long if exposed to the air. The backing feels like wax paper and it can be discarded or recycled.

Custom bumper stickers are a great way to advertise and they can be personalized with your own message or slogan. The branches of the military armed forces use them to recruit or call people’s attention, as do many popular colleges and universities.

They are also used by many families. For example, they can be created to represent the entire family and be the perfect gift for your next family reunion. The stickers can include the family’s name or a symbol or saying significant to everybody, also, if you want them absolutely unique they can have a custom shape.

These type of stickers are most commonly and often seen as a form of self expression. People like to pick up ones that say witty things, such as, “If you can read this…You’re too close” or “Don’t follow me…I’m lost too” and other things like that.

It has been suggested that controversial bumper stickers may in fact help promote road rage. However, there is no evidence to back up this claim, actually, people would be fine if they would just think, and realize that if they don’t like what they are reading, they don’t have to look.

Bumper stickers are extremely popular, they are found on one in three cars in the United States. You can buy them almost everywhere, including several retailers that sell them online. It’s a cheap and funny way to get a point across. But choose wisely, humor at someone’s expense is never funny for long. There are a lot of options out there that don’t offend anyone.

Tremec TKO Transmissions Part 1 – TKO-500 and TKO-600 Features and Background

[ad_1]

Tremec is an OE transmission supplier that manufactures manual transmissions for Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Aston Martin, TVR, and many different medium and heavy duty truck applications. Their TKO is a high strength 5-speed overdrive manual transmission that was originally designed to be retrofitted into Mustang Fox body cars to replace the weaker T5, but will also bolt up to the standard Ford four speed passenger car bellhousing. When Tremec realized that enthusiasts were adapting it for GM applications, they decided to make it a little easier for folks (and capitalize on a huge opportunity, too) by producing a GM version of the TKO.

The GM version will bolt directly up to almost any standard Chevrolet/Buick/Olds/Pontiac passenger car four-speed bellhousing. Though only Ford and GM versions of the TKO are available, Mopar enthusiasts can get all the custom parts they need to adapt a Ford version TKO to virtually any Mopar V8 engine. The TKO has never been OE equipment in any production car, although its great-grandpa, the Tremec TR-3550 was in a limited-production Ford Mustang Cobra in the mid 1990s. The TKO is purely an aftermarket transmission designed for high-performance cars.

There are three basic models available, the TKO-500 and two variations of the TKO-600. The wide-ratio TKO-500 is rated for a continuous 500 lb.-ft. of torque, and offers a deep 3.27:1 first gear ratio and a 0.68:1 overdrive ratio in fifth gear. The close-ratio TKO-600 is rated for a continuous 600 lb.-ft. of torque, and has a 2.87:1 first gear and either a 0.82:1 overdrive or a 0.64:1 overdrive ratio in fifth gear. The rated torque capacities are said to be quite conservative, as there are a significant number of cars in the field with engines that exceed the torque rating by a large margin, and failures are rare.

The TKO uses a three-rail internal shift mechanism, eliminating any external linkage and the problems that go with it. The short throw billet aluminum shifter can be removed, flipped 180 degrees, and then reinstalled to provide an additional shift position. Optional custom shifters are available in several different configurations to mimic the shift positions in various musclecars. The TKO utilizes cast iron shift forks, a one-piece counter shaft, and tapered roller bearings on the input, output, and counter shafts for added strength.

Every TKO transmission provides both mechanical and electronic speedometer outputs. The mechanical output is a Ford design, but you can get hybrid speedometer cables for GM or Mopar applications. They also feature a reverse light switch and a neutral safety switch that can be wired into your vehicle’s existing harness. The transmission has an internal reverse lockout feature that prevents you from accidentally going from fifth gear into reverse. You have to go into the center of the “Neutral” gate before it will allow you to shift into reverse.

The Tremec TKO is an excellent choice for the musclecar or street rod owner that enjoys rowing his own gears and wants to drive his car to distant car shows or other events. I have one in my 1967 Pontiac Firebird and have driven a number of other cars with TKO transmissions installed. The overdrive makes a huge difference on the highway, and there aren’t many other transmission choices out there with overdrive that will stand up to the kind of power that the TKO can take. None of the other overdrive transmissions available at this time offer as much versatility as the Tremec TKO.

Catuaba Bark Extract – Sex Enhancer Or Natural Sleep Herb?

[ad_1]

There are many benefits you can derive from drinking tea made from catuaba bark extract. Although it is most praised for its abilities as an aphrodisiac, it may also b helpful as a natural sleep herb. Though you don’t usually think of sleep aid herbs as being able to help with sexual dysfunction, there is some evidence to support that theory with this herb.

A Brief History

The benefits of drinking tea made from catuaba bark extract are not new to South Americans. In fact, they have praised it for many generations not as a natural sleep herb but as an aphrodisiac. It tends to cause confusion when you look at these sleep aid herbs and wonder how it is possible for them to perform two completely different functions. It become really confusing when you consider that this herb is a stimulant rather than a depressant, thus is should be allowing you to stay awake rather than sleep.

These herbs for sleep are native to the Amazon jungle in Brazil. The tree is medium in size and has a flowery leafy appearance. Although it is related to the coca plant, it fails to possess alkaloids you find in cocaine. The tree from which catuaba bark extract comes has a very thick and knotty truck with an above-ground root system. The orange and yellow flowers on the trees produce small fruits that are not edible.

Some of the components of this natural sleep herb include bitter substance, alkaloids, tannins, aromatic oils, fatty resins and phytosterols just to name a few. Although one does not think of sleep aid herbs as sexual stimulants, catuaba has the reputation of being a natural sex enhancer. Although the information is legendary, many of the Brazilian states feel it is responsible for any male offspring born after the father reaches the age of 60.

Health Benefits

Although catuaba bark extract is better known as a sexual enhancer, some evidence also suggests it is a natural sleep herb as well. Among the benefits that you may receive of catuaba tea, you will find the following:

  • May increase libido. It may also cause the commencement of sexual dreams that will intensify a person’s interest in sex.
  • May help treat prostatis and sexual dysfunction
  • May help with HIV treatment
  • May have an effect on calming the nervous system
  • May have memory enhancing properties
  • Some evidence exists to promote these plants as sleep aid herbs
  • May improve your mood

How many of the above benefits are supported by fact is unknown at this time thus documentation states there is a possibility rather than actual fact. In addition the effect of these herbs on an individual will vary based on many different factors including age, condition of health, stability of the immune system and other important factors. That doesn’t mean you should not attempt to use catuaba for sleep enhancement because it may very well provide the results you need. Take caffeine for example: some people can drink anything with caffeine after a certain time a day while others can do it right before bed and it actually helps them relax.

Defining Custom Logistics and Shipping Services

[ad_1]

Shipping services are one of many important components that make a logistics provider reliable. A company with the best available logistics can still be unreliable if the shipping companies used cannot deliver loads on time. Businesses depend on timely and safe deliveries for customer satisfaction. Logistics and shipping services must both be perfected for a business to truly benefit from this type of service. A consistent provider offers many advantages including cost savings, easier exporting and importing, and delivery of goods in less time.

It is beneficial to learn about custom logistics and shipping services before determining if a provider is right for your business. Shipping logistics is the process of using technology and knowledge to maximize individual freight loads. This service may be used for full or partial load transporting. Providers help decide which shipping companies offer the fastest and most affordable transport of a load. Partial loads are combined with other shipments for minimized costs. Full truckloads are evaluated for the both money savings and faster delivery. Standard shipping companies often cost more. Attempting to manage these processes internally can prove to be difficult unless your company has its own shipping equipment and department. Many companies find that using a third party provider for logistics shipping has more advantages.

Logistics and shipping providers have more knowledge of each countries customs policies. Importing and exporting delays are less likely with their assistance. Reliable providers also have many contacts that a business does not have available on their own. They are familiar with various shipping services and know of genuine shortcuts. Some providers even have their own customs departments that assist with the customs clearance process. A logistics services main purpose is to assist businesses in cutting down shipping costs. Dependable companies only recommend the most effective options based on the shipment at hand. They assist in route planning, packing, warehousing, and delivery. Climate, weight of the load, traveled terrain, cost, and type of goods are all taken into consideration by their specialists.

Air Freight Forwarding Decreases Shipping Time for Long Distance Loads

Logistics companies that offer air freight forwarding have additional time saving benefits. Air transport is required any time your company moves goods in and out of the country. If a provider does not have air shipping, they are most likely going to require more time to ship your goods. This is due to the fact that a cargo carrier will have to be used for the shipment. Transport by sea takes longer. Air forwarding has its advantages even when you do not ship outside of the country. Shipments that must be transported across the country may either be transported by truck, train, or air. Trains have limited drop off points and may have to be combined with truck transportation as well. This opens up room for damage and errors during transport. Both methods take more time for delivery. Air transport makes it easy to get a shipment to its drop off location when products are time sensitive or must be transported quickly. This basic knowledge will help your company obtain the exact shipping options and services needed for important deliveries.

The Tree of Life Tapestry Art Captures Our Hearts

[ad_1]

Deep thoughts and the beauty of interpretation comes with the many meanings of The Tree of Life. To look upon the many artists masterpieces in their artwork that symbolizes the Tree of Life it is fascinating and fun. Thus we shall look at the Tree of Life Tapestry Art and how it captures our hearts.

Best known is perhaps William Morris’s version of the Tree of Life with it’s medieval style. It was William Morris that let his imagination design the work of art that was originally woven into a tapestry instead of a painting.

Most tapestries are woven from a design that is taken from a painting by another artist. William Morris created his design and woven them and is a legendary man who pushed the fine woven goods into the world as we know them today.

The Tree of Life is symbolic in many cultures and is studied in science, religion, philosophy, mythology, and other schools of thought. The basic belief for most is the Tree of Life is symbolic of growth, immortality, resurrection and the promise of continuous life. The tree is the link to heaven and earth and the underworld. It’s quite magical when you think about all it represents.

The branches and leaves reach to the heavens where the truck stands strongly on the earth and it’s roots dive deep into the underworld. The Tree of Life Tapestry Art seems to capture the life and beauty surrounding our thoughts.

From Klimt’s Art Deco styles to William Morris’s medieval stylish designs to modern and fanciful versions by Natasha Wescoat we find that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It’s fun to have a variety of choices and styles in the artistic interpretation for this culturally rich symbolic tree.

The Tree of Knowledge, The Cosmic Tree, The Acacia Tree of Saosis (Egyptian), Celtic Tree of Life, and other names from different cultures all tie to the Tree of Life. They are variations or taking a slightly different slant on the meaning and symbolism of this tree. This is shown in the Tree of Life Tapestry woven from the variety of artists paintings.

Color, composition, style and design all take a part in the look that seems please the owner of these inspiring and beautiful Tree of Life Tapestry wall hangings. It’s nice to have so many choices when it comes to such a thought provoking work-of-art.

Plantar Fasciitis Secrets of Getting Immediate Relief – Footwear 1

The secrets to getting immediate relief of your plantar fasciitis pain is that making sure your foot is well supported when you are weight bearing and walking and doing your activities. Support for your feet is important as it requires you to make sure that your foot is supported in a fashion that is going to enable you to walk with freedom and ease yet at the same time help to take the pressure off the plantar fascia… a soft tissue structure that is important to holding the foot in it’s correct alignment.

Most problems that affect the feet, legs, knees and hips tend to relate to either, alignment issues or a direct traumatic injury to the area of concern. With plantar fascia injuries direct trauma’s tend to be either during sports, running, jumping or high impact activities such as boxing, aerobics. Though occupational injuries can cause problems as well. Jumping off the side of a truck and landing on uneven ground, drum players in bands, retail workers who work on their feet all day. Construction workers, landscapers and concrete cutters all can sustain this type of injury from direct trauma. Even the home gardener can sustain injuries such as using the humble old shovel/ spade when using soft shoes that don’t support the bottom of your feet. Support for your feet and plantar fascia can come in many different forms. The first and easiest form is footwear.

Footwear runners… joggers, athletic shoes are ideal as they provide total enclosed support for the feet. Supportive runners should include…a stiff heel counter (heel of the shoe) with soft padding. Flexible through the ball of the shoe (that is the toe section of the shoe should bend where the toes bend) and firm through the midsole of the shoe. They should have laces ideally. Why laces you ask…the important thing is that laces can be adjusted to the size of one’s foot. Foot size and fluid volume of the foot vary from day to day and having laces will enable you to accommodate those changes in volume. Then insole, shoe liner or foot bed should be able to be removed. So that if any other style of foot bed needs to be placed inside this can be done very easily.

Footwear Sandals…Many people wear sandals particularly in the warmer climates. There are sandals that are ideal for supporting the foot with plantar fasciitis and there are sandals that are not. I would highly recommend investing in sandals that have a contoured sole and that the sole of the sandal is made from a cork or EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) base. If you go to many of your specialty shoe stores, outdoor, camping or hiking shoe shops there will be numerous style of sandals you can try on that will help support your plantar fascia. Some of the brand include..Naot, Teva, Keen, Homy Ped, are just some brands that will help support your feet.

One of the important plantar fasciitis secrets is using the correct footwear to help support your feet when you have pain and discomfort. If you find you don’t get the success from shoes alone you may need to visit a Podiatrist (foot specialist) or MD to help you.
